12th Night

Nana and Grabgrah came to see me this evening and I got to have my first cuddle with them. Nana has hurt her arm, but she still managed to give me a cuddle. They also gave me some fabulous new clothes, including a striped baby grow that will make me look like a convict... I am only quarter Scouser though Nana! She also passed on a half pint pewter tankard that belonged to my great Grandad Charlie. Looking forward to knocking back my first few ales in that!
Anyway - a couple of my nurses asked me how Nana hurt her arm, so I thought I'd have a bit of fun and set up an online poll to try and get to the bottom of this mystery. Grabgrah tells me that vast quantities of alcohol were being consumed on the premises at the time, but do not let that cloud you judgement. The poll should be on the right of the screen and you can view the current results here. Get well soon Nana.

Dear Jack
As if my sister ,you sainted Nana ,would fall about DRUNK!!
We scousers can take our drink and whilst I agree she had indeed imbibed the quantities stated, she does that every day and is well used to it.
No ,I have to say in the confines and confidentiality of an email between your good little self and me as your great aunt, that she was actually indulging not in alcohol but her once-yearly New Year Games which involve your dear Grandfather Martin and a high wardrobe and a crystal chandelier.
Sadly this year her little Pinkie became caught up on an item of clothing just at the moment of maximum swing and--well you can see the result for yourself.
I have to also tell you that the family history is NOT good since when your daddy was little your Great Nana Grace sustained a similar injury which she said (!) she had got "sliding down a Helter Skelter" (ask your mum) but whenever she gave this excuse Great Granddad Charlie (of the Tankard) would just smirk-so we her children, had our suspicions too-but we just DID NOT WANT TO GO THERE (We preferred the gooseberry bush theory as it was less off-putting)
Anyway little man-we cant wait to meet you-and fill you in on some really riveting family scouser history-and a story or two about your dad)
Lots of love
Great Aunt Dell (now to henceforth be known as GAD like the feminine form of God )
