Welcome Charlie

Here's me giving my new brother Charlie a traditional Scouse welcome.

Facebook update

I've added a widget on the right if you don't want to get a Facebook account. It will show my status updates, any links or notes that I add (notes will be a bit like these blog posts) and any pictures of myself, so you can still come to this blog to get all your Jack Wills news fix!

That's All Folks

Sorry for the lack of updates. Here's a couple of shots of me doing my favourite things: eating cake, eating Marmite on toast and cuddles with Mummy.

I've been giving my blog some thought over the last few weeks and have decided I'm moving up in the world from Blogs to Facebook. Blogging is so 1990s and I'm keen to move with the times (and make Daddy's life easier). My Facebook profile is here and I want to make lots of friends so I can keep you all updated faster, more regularly and in what the media are dubbing, a more 'ambient' way.

Besides - when my new little brother or sister comes along at the end of July (or earlier if they are in keeping with the family tradition) they too will no-doubt want some form of mass communication and I get the feeling Daddy is not exactly relishing the idea.

Grandma, Grandad, Nana and Grabgra - Daddy is on hand if you need some tech support setting up a Facebook profile.

I will be adding the odd post to the Blog every now and then, but thanks for reading and see you on Facebook.

Autumn/Winter 08 Update

Last weekend we had a house full of visitors - Kim and Kelly came over on Friday night, so I woke up to play with them at about midnight. Then Sam and Lee came over on Sunday for a spot of lunch. Lee was having a few technical issues with his mobile, so I showed him how to send texts and change his ring tone... over and over again.
I know you're all thinking I am the ultimate trend setter - stripes are VERY in this season - but believe it or not, this woolly hat, scarf and mittens ensemble was all the rage 30 years ago when Daddy wore this actual set. So I have to thank Daddy for my impressive dress sense. And thanks of course to my Nana for keeping them safe all these years and passing them on to me today.

Get well soon Debs

Hope your broken ankle mends soon and I hope my cuddles helped. Kisses.

Cracked it!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been pretty busy with summer holidays and all that, but the real reason is I've not really had any news to tell you... until now that is!

After many months of practice I can now tell you this... I can walk!

The second video is just me amusing myself in the kitchen. Mummy and daddy spend a fortune on toys for me - but all they really need to give me is a baking tray!

Run, Mummy, Run!

Well done Mummy and her thoroughly good running mate Claire for completing the 10K run today, and thank you to Mrs T for getting them there and back safely and for being Team Daffodil's sole supporter. I would have come too, but I had to stay home and Daddy-sit. Facebookers can see the full set of picks here. Donations can still be made here. So far between them they have raised over £1000 for Marie Curie.

Swimming, eating and running...

Bom Dia. I know I've been a bit slack updating the blog since I got back from Portugal, but by popular demand, here's a few shots of me enjoying the sun, sea, sand and being spoiled rotten. After my first ever trip on an plane (generally very well behaved, and they didn't even have to drug me, like B.A. "I ain't gettin on no plane" Baracus) I had my first ever dip in the sea, which was very exciting. I also liked eating sand and sea shells - crunchy, savoury and plentiful.

I had my special overseas support team with me at all times, a.k.a. Grandma and Nannie, and showed off my new (almost) walking skills and was generally charming and happy most of the time. I slept most days in the afternoon for about 2 hours that gave mummy the opportunity the perfect her Donatella Versace look.
I enjoyed dressing up in Grandma's hats and shopping for and playing with handbags - but all was not lost as Daddy, Grandad, Uncle Mark and Uncle Dick were there to talk to me about football, fishing and beer.

After my sleep everyday I had an Magnum ice-cream, which I have to say is a very civilised way to wake up. Of course, I'd get absolutely plastered in the stuff so...
... once I was all jacked up and enjoying the sugar rush, they'd plonk me in the shower and hose me down.

Now I've updated you all perhaps you'd do something for me in return? My mummy, superwoman that she is, is running 10km in London in July - it's for Charidy of course, so she'd appreciate it if you could sponsor her - just click here for the sponsor form.

Adeus.

Here's a video of me getting all excited about being on the swings. I've had a word with Daddy about the camera work and he's promised me he'll get the camera the right way round next time. Strike one Daddy, strike one. You could always turn your computer screen on its side.

To the Cotswolds

Just got back from a week away in Mickleton (nr Chipping Campden) with Nana, Grabgra and Auntie Lizzie. We stayed in a lovely old cottage and had trips out to the local towns and the local pubs and Auntie Lizzie and Mummy sampled the local butcher's sausage - which everyone found very funny, but I though was rather tasty!
We popped over to Worcester to visit Uncle Jem and Auntie Mary and to see my cousins Philippa and David, then they came to spend the day with us at the end of the week - we went on a steam train and then to a pub for lunch - rock and roll!
But my favourite bit of the whole holiday and an example of excellent town planning... someone had the good sense to build the 300 year old cottage we were in right next to a park... with swings! I love the swings!

Chocolate?

Chocolate? What makes you think I've been eating chocolate? Ahhh Easter 2008 - seems like an age away already. Admiral Mo (Grandma) and First Mate Al (Grandad) returned from their voyage on the QEII with lots of stories, photos and videos to share with us all, so we went to spend a few days with them, then on to Nana and Grabgra's to continue the eat-a-thon. Whilst I may have indulged in a little choccy-wokky-doo-dah, I have to admit I'm not really all that fond of it... honestly.

Croeso i Gymru

I went to stay with Nannie in Wales this weekend and had a very busy time, as well as picking up a bit of the local lingo. We went for a lovely lunch with Uncle Mark and a group of his friends in Cardiff and then went shopping for some outdoor shoes to help me walk. Sunday started well for me with breakfast in bed with Nannie (see pic above) and then I had a snack on a big boy's chair, then we all went to put some plants on Grampie's grave and then off to the Celtic Manor for a Mother's Day lunch. Phew! I slept like a baby on the way home... hang on a minute, I am a baby.

Start spreading the news...

All my life I’ve been convinced that my suave, sophisticated smoothness came from Daddy, but according to this article I‘m related somehow to Ol’ Blue Eyes himself.

Normal? Me?

Good news from the Doc. He sent me a letter to say that even though I was born early and everything, I'm actually doing just fine - although in his words I'm "physically and neuro-developmentally normal" and I'm now discharged from further follow up. Normal? I'd say I'm pretty far from 'normal'. I have a great range of noises, a good head of hair and a pretty funky crawling style, thank you very much!

Hair today - gone tomorrow

Alright - alright - keep your hair on! I had my first hair cut this week - short back and sides. What do you think? And whilst I was getting rid of excess hair, Daddy was adding it - check out his beard! I think he's going to shave it off this weekend - it really tickles!
